Evergrene once one of the communities hit hard sells homes, in the last 3 months all of the larger homes in Evergrene have been moving. Here is the great surprise to me, they are selling for over appraised value. I can’t believe its been so long since I have posted, it wasn’t like I was meaning to take so long, but life has been crazy.. My husband had his gall bladder out last week and is recovering, the Jupiter hospital was great, but they really don’t care at all about making people wait. Our ongoing search for a home almost ended when we bid on a beautiful Mystic Cove house until we found out the yard was really preserve and didn’t belong to the home, what a bumber. So my Palm Beach Home search continues, atleast in a little better health.

So what’s new for the day.. I will let you know as of now, just watching the morning fly by and not much new on the MLS.

Palm Beach Real Estate and My New Home Plan

I am sorry for my delay in writing as we got temporarity displaced from a mold filled home here in Jupiter Inlet Colony on the Ocean. What do you expect for an oceanfront paradise, oh I forgot not for me and my kids to get sick.

So on to the search for new listings and to find my new home. I keep thinking I want Palm Beach Country Estates, but living in the hotel at Frenchmans Reserve makes me think I like the idea of Evergrene. It is so great being close to everything. I had to get something from Publix, I left the gate of Frenchmans Reserve, crossed the street and there it was. Is it better to be close to things, have more land, or just go ahead and spend more and move to a country club.

I don’t know, it seems I can get an amazing house in Mirasol for the money, I just don’t know if I want to commit to $20,000 a year and maintenance and HOA dues, and then I love Frenchmans Reserve but the house I could get for the money just doesn’t companre to Mirasol. Then you have the great dane and labrador, where can you find a nice lot in the heart of town in a kids friendly community, which isn’t a small fortune. Find that and you have found my dream Palm Beach home.


Slow Palm Beach Real Estate Weekends

If you are looking for new listings, and trying to find that perfect home, it might be time to give up on the news and take a better look at what already is on the market. Because today in the news; 4 listings..

18 Via Aurelia in Palm Beach Gardens, PGA National asking $329,000

18 Via Aurelia a beautiful Jupiter Homes in Whispering Trails asking $459,000

18 Via Aurelia, another beautiful Jupiter home in Abacoa asking $638,550

125 PEMBROKE Dr in Palm Beach Garden’s BallenIsles Country Club asking $475,000, wow what a nice size house for the money!!

So on to the next week, I think I will take a look at the currently listed homes and see if there is something else I can find, as the number of new listings coming on the market is so low.. And whomever says we are in a bad real estate market, they have not seen Palm Beach Home Sales.


Weekends are Slow for New Listings but Quick for Sales Contracts

If you are a daily new checker like myself, you come to realize, that the weekends are slow, as people are mainly showing homes and writing contracts. People tend to list during the week and sell and negotiate on the weekends. Most agents even if the property does get a contract, waits until Monday to put it on the computer as contingents. Also, current sellers try to make price changes on the weeked to get potential buyers to come see there home.

With todays New’s being limited to a home in Jupiter Farms, which just close a month ago for $295.000, now asking $450,000 and a beautiful homes in Valencia at Abacoa in Jupiter. Both homes are nice, the Jupiter Farms house we had actually bid on previously, of course when it was asking $150,000, and the Valencia house looks awesome except for the no pool and no yard problem.

Other then that, the Palm Beach Real Estate market is slow today..

Here is a small reminder, if you are looking to try out Frenchmans Reserve and get a summer membership, they start May 1, and are less then $2,000 for an entire 6months. Great deal great Palm Beach Gardens Country Club, I definitly recommend trying the community out.
