I can’t believe I was talking to one of my Distinct Estates agents and he used the line to a buyer, if you don’t buy; the price is only going to go up. I don’t think I have heard that in a while, and then I took a look at the property.. There have only been 2 properties in the last 6 months like it to come on the market, and they came off the market within in 3 days.. First was $20,000 less then the second and these people had waited for a property like this for 3 months, and it was $10,000 more then the second.. So maybe they are right, with such limited inventory prices are going up, and maybe it is a great time to buy a property here in Palm Beach.

Its amazing the amount of increased traffic we have in this area after the New Year. Palm Beach Florida is definitly the place to be. The weather has been amazing, there is so much to do, and so many great places to live. Moving to Abacoa here in Jupiter has been a fun experience for us, we ride our bike to dinner and have gotten to know several of the neighbors. Moving from Tequesta was sad, as we loved living on the river, although I am always up for change.

With the increase of traffic and people down, properties are selling and inventory is still low. Anyone who said buyers market here in Palm Beach isn’t practicing real estate in Palm Beach. I am starting to see a small increase in successful short sale closings as banks might be finally getting there act together. Banks aren’t just giving away properties though, they want market value and nothing less, so short sales aren’t always the best bet although they do take up a huge percentage of the Palm Beach Real Estate inventory.

Home searching is tough, no one can find a great deal on there own, you truly need a good real estate agent to get you the best deal. Someone who tells you the second something comes on the market to jump on it, thats why our value as a company has only gone up on this market.

New Move to Abacoa

So now that we have lived in Abacoa for a week, we have completed a fence, put in wood floors, and just started the first process to building a pool. Needless to say when we do something, we do it.. I can’t say I have any complaints, we seem to have very nice neighbors, tons of kids, and a location that is somewhat close to things. Our house in Abacoa Jupiter was decorated by my friend Celia Sasser and she did an amazing job. She has truly made this house into a home for me.. Every color in the house was picked by her, every piece of furniture including drapes was picker by her.. And truly she is GREAT at what she does!

So leaving the water I am sure a little sad for all of us, is proving so far to be a nice change and a great place for my kids to grow up. There is nothing like Jupiter schools and Abacoa is a truly very family friendly place to call home..

Now that our offer has been rejected in Frenchmans Reserve, we seem to not want to go there.. I can’t say it is not disappointing that that amazing home we had a contract on for 4 long months didn’t work out. Short Sales are officially impossable now in my book. I was in 4 short sales and not one of them got approved. October is one of the best months for Frenchmans Reserve, they have an awesome Halloween Party, Pumpkin Patch, and so many great activities.

Abacoa Martinique Growing on me Everyday

Moving to Abacoa never struck me as something on my top wish list, but the more we go there and meet the neighbors, I think this the right decision for our family. Took a look at there little playground tonight, its not what it has or it doesn’t have as we have our own swings and slides, its more about the atmosphere. People, families, kids, it was kinda nice. I love my boys to dealth but sometimes it is nice for them to not be the only child on the playground. Sometimes its nice to be able to sit and relax, while they play with someone that is not you.

Jupiter’s Abacoa, a mixed community of townhomes and single family offers a feel of community and seems like a great home for a family. So let the next chapter of our family move to Martinique here in Jupiter’s Abacoa. From Egret Landing, to The Tequesta River, to Jupiter Island, and on to Abacoa.
